Celebrate the living history of Colorado's longest continuous residents with multi-sensory exhibitions, professionally maintained collections, and educational programs. This iconic 52,000-square-foot facility features permanent and temporary galleries; conservation and storage wing for collections of priceless artifacts; and comprehensive Ute archives and oral histories, classrooms, library, grand assembly hall, storytelling room, and outdoor activity areas. Located on eight-acre campus above the Los Pinos River in Ignacio, Colorado.
Many sustainable features, including green roof planted with native species, medicinal gardens, and landscaping that integrates plant species from the Southern Ute Indian Reservation.
