A campground on a 38 acre archaeological preserve with a full breakfast included! The small number of camp sites in an orchard ensures a measure of quiet not found at a larger campground. Fantastic hiking from Kelly Place into Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. Full access to the Ancestral Puebloan sites on Kelly Place property, including a fully restored kiva. Archaeologist-guided hikes are offered at additional cost. Public restroom with shower; picnic tables, grills. Common areas include a lounge with diverse library, games, dvds and videos, computer and wifi in the lodge. The Spanish-style courtyard is a great place to relax, sip some local beer and wine, and view Sleeping Ute Mountain and brightly colored birds. Cabins and lodge rooms also available.
Driving Directions
From 160/491, 2 miles south of Cortez, turn west on Road G (road to airport and Hovenweep National Monument). Driveway to Kelly Place is 10.2 miles from the intersection.
