Holocaust & Intolerance Museum of New Mexico
This unique museum features not only the Holocaust but other genocides and acts of intolerance throughout history reminding us of the outcomes of hate. The newest exhibit, created by student volunteers, is about "the tolerated genocide" in Rwanda. Knowledgeable docents speak to thousands of middle and high school students each year particularly about the consequences of bullying. Other visitors, also numbering in the thousands, come from all over the world to see exhibits on slavery in America, the Native American cultural genocide as well as the Armenian and Greek genocides. The museum's mission is to combat hate and intolerance, and promote understanding through education.
Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
