Puye Cliff Dwellings

Once home to over 1,000 Native American people, Puye Cliff Dwellings is open to visitors for guided tours of the ruin sites. Ancient trails flank cave dwellings and ruins that exhibit the Puebloan lifestyle of the ancestors of the Santa Clara Pueblo people. The Puye ruin site is one of several located near present-day Santa Clara Pueblo, and is one of over a hundred ancient villages that existed in the four corners region. Today, visitors are guided by native pueblo people who tell their story about Puye, historic events, and modern life on the reservation.
