Kelly Place Bed & Breakfast/Retreat

Kelly Place is located at the foot of Sleeping Ute Mountain in the sculpted red-rocks of McElmo Canyon, bordering Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. It is a 38-acre archaeological preserve with Ancestral Puebloan ruins on-site, including a fully restored kiva. You can hike on your own or with an archaeologist (at additional cost) from Kelly Place into Canyons of the Ancients. Sand Canyon trailhead is just 2 miles down the road.

The lodge was built in the 60's by horticulturists George and Sue Kelly, as their home. We are reaping the benefits of the fruit trees and mature plantings left by the Kelly's. Kelly Place has been a B&B and outdoor education center for over 30 years and is known internationally as an interesting and relaxing place to stay.

Other activities include bird-watching, learning about local archaeology, sipping McElmo Canyon wines and just taking it easy.
