Bluff International Balloon Festival

Each year Bluff, Utah, the little town with the great can-do attitude, hosts its International Balloon Festival during the third weekend of January. It all started with one balloon and oodles of volunteers. We still have the volunteers, a tremendously supportive business community, and the nicest, most experienced group of balloonists imaginable. However, we have expanded to approximately 30 pilots. Balloon enthusiasts return each year for some of the most beautiful and unencumbered red rock flying in the Southwest. The big and colorful hot air balloons are flown by a big and colorful cast of characters with hearts as large as the flying orbs. Relax in this serenely beautiful outpost and watch as the brightly colored balloons fly past eroded sandstone monoliths and kiss the red rock bluffs! Fun lovers of all ages will enjoy this peaceful yet exhilarating event in our beautiful river valley. This has been identified as one of the best winter festivals in America.
