Bicentennial Scenic Byway 95

This Utah Scenic Byway (Hwy. 95) is also part of the Trail of the Ancients National Scenic Byway and covers 73 miles in San Juan County, from just south of Blanding to Hite Marina at Lake Powell and beyond. It traverses a wide variety of strata, washes, and colorful rock formations as it extends to Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area at Hite Marina. Color contrasts of red rocks, white rocks, green junipers, and pinyon pines alternating with panoramic views and stone bridges at National Bridges National Monument are just a few of the features found along this scenic byway. Mule Canyon Ruin lies right beside the road and is accessible to everyone with ample parking for large vehicles and a pit toilet accessible to all. A large signboard explains the Acestral Puebloan culture that built the structure.
